It wasn’t even a question that chocoMe wanted to highlight the citrus flavours of the Åkesson's chocolate, so they paired a very special fruit to go with it: the candied yuzu peel. Yuzu is a citrus from East Asia, primarily from Japan. It resembles an oversized, rough‑skinned lemon or small sized grapefruit. The fruit is beloved for its extremely special, unmistakable taste, with a strong aromatic, tart, slightly bitter taste.
