Xocolatl's single origin bars are made of only two ingredients: cacao and organic cane sugar. That's it. They source premium cacao beans that have delicious, terroir-driven flavor profiles, then add only enough sugar to bring out the best expression of that profile. Flavor notes in this bar are of brown sugar, baking spices and caramel with underlying notes of dark fruits and tropical flowers. This bar has medium-high complexity with a long finish and pairs well with Pinot Noirs, lattes, fruit and cheese plates, and a comfy armchair on a rainy day. Direct-sourced from Cac Pangoa, a coffee and cacao farmers cooperative that is organic and fair-trade certified in the upper Amazon of Peru.
