Qantu

Qantu's story began 10 years ago in Cusco, Peru, when two young travelers, Elfi and Maxime, met by chance and flames instantly ignited. The flame was transported to the world of cocoa in 2014 during a first visit to a plantation in northern Peru, where the passion and pride of cocoa farmers shook up the course of their lives. In 2016, their dream began to come to fruition as they selected the farmers and beans they would work with and purchased their first equipment. The first three Qantu bars were awarded two gold medals and one silver medal at the Academy of Chocolate Awards in 2017. Qantu is a symbol of unity and hospitality for Elfi and Maxime, and it's the name of the national flower of Peru and Bolivia. The word Qantu comes from the native Quechua language and is pronounced 'Kantu.'
